The Maritime International Trainee Programme is a two-year, technical on-the-job training programme. The target group are MEng or MSc graduates or equivalent, either directly from university or with limited relevant work experience.

After an induction at the head office in Norway, trainees complete four training blocks of six months each. At least six months of the time is spent at DNV’s head office, and at least six months at a station outside of a trainee's home country.

After completion of the trainee programme, participants start working in their home region. In the longer term, they may choose to pursue international career opportunities within DNV.

Please note the following: International trainees are normally nominated among candidates already employed with DNV. All 2009 and 2010 Maritime International Trainee positions have been filled.
