DNV Consulting has been asked to help improve the security at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Norway’s main airport.
Immediately following media exposure of deficiencies in the security system at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, the airport management took action. DNV Consulting was hired to quality assure the follow-up of those actions.
Risk-based quality assurance
Serck-Hanssen is about to set up a DNV team that will carry out risk-based quality assurance of the short-term extraordinary actions that have now been put into effect. In addition DNV Consulting will assist the airport in its development of a long-term security strategy.
“This is interesting because it is a new area for our risk-based services. Airport security has not traditionally been based on systematic risk approach,” says DNV Consulting’s project manager Christoffer Serck-Hanssen.
