The DNV Corporate seal must never be mistaken for or used as a logo.

The corporate seal shall only be used as a printed watermark on:
- document front covers
- certificates
- stationery
- manuals
- papers and reports

Rubber stamps used for verifying authorised decisions and signatures on behalf of DNV shall be based on the corporate seal.

The seal must not be used in marketing material.

The corporate seal (also denoted the official stamp or the round stamp), consists of the text "Det Norske Veritas 1864" encircling the anchor and balance as shown in the illustration.
