To ensure satisfactory quality of graphic production of marketing material, the following requirements must be followed.
Graphic designers
- Qualified, professional graphic designers must be used to design all materials that will be seen by DNV’s clients and potential clients.
- Corporate Communications can advise on use of designers.
- External graphic designers shall be given the link to the DNV visual identity, made aware of its importance, and are required to follow it.
Page layout software
- Professional graphics software, which is standard in the graphic industry and ensures high quality, must be used by qualified personnel for designing and creating marketing materials.
Printing
- Production of printed material such as brochures, flyers, posters, CD covers, etc., must be carried out by professional print shops.
Reporting/archiving
- Copies of all publications must be sent to Corporate Communications for registration in the list of current brochures, papers, publications, and presentations.
- In countries where national law requires that copies of publications are sent to a national archive (e.g. Nasjonalbiblioteket, Norway, and Bodleian Library, UK) these requirements must be observed and followed up by the Line Manager commissioning the work, unless the printer explicitly states that they undertake this service.
